Near fine lacking a dust jacket. Red cloth with yellow lettering. The spine of the book is a little unevenly sunned, interior pages just slightly browning. Hand drawn map endpapers, drawings by Lt. Col. E. C. Jacobs and G. G. Estill; photographs by Maj. John E. Lester. Owner's name and date at top right corner of front endpaper; inscription by editor to owner on second front endpaper. Major Chunn and the other contributors were prisoners of war captured by the Japanese during WWII. Most of the contributors did not return to the US alive.
