Two volumes, very good or worse in the original cloth bindings. Volume I is actually published by Little, Brown in 1956, and includes a Life of Wincklemann. It appears to be the first US edition with the life of Wincklemann included. The backstrip is missing and there is some dampstaining at the corners of the pages throughout. The page block is in two pieces, completely sparated at page 280/281. Volume II is dated 1849, published by Munro, and does not have the Wincklemann biography included. It appears to be volume II of the first US edition. some loss of the original brown cloth at the spine ends, and minor dampstaining along the top edge of the page block. The books' bindings are different, but the entire work is present with many full page illustrations (most with tissue guards).
