First Edition. Very good+ lacking a dust jacket. Owner's signature in pencil on front endpaper, small scrape to blue cloth near top of spine. Corners are slightly bumped and boards are just slightly bowed. Tight and clean internally. Laid in is a newspaper article dated January 1, 1928 from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch about the latest theory on Bierce's disappearance. The book has 489 pages including 12 illustrations, an appendix which is a complete table of contents for each volume of the 12 volume Collected Works, which Neale published, and an index.
