First US edition, near fine lacking a dust jacket. The beige cloth has just a touch of soiling on the spine and rear board. Page edges are just slightly spotted. A tight and clean copy, with no names or other markings in the book. The author (Rachel Strachey) was a member of the Bloomsbury Group and a suffragette. This book, according to the Preface, is based on a trunk of writings handed down from her grandmother about religious and other types of fanatics.
